The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) has announced that Vancouver would host the International Conference in 2015.

At the close of this year’s event, held at the ExCel London Exhibition and Conference Centre, 2014 Conference Chair Nicola Rimmer passed The IIA’s International Conference flag to IIA Canadian board members Brett Naiden, CIA, CCSA, CRMA, and Jeremy Picco, CIA.

“It is thrilling to stand here before this wonderful gathering and think that, in less than a year, we will be hosting the 2015 International Conference in Vancouver, British Columbia,” Naiden said.

Picco added, “We want to invite everyone to the Great White North to experience the magic and beauty of our wonderful city. Our theme says it all: ‘Mountains of Change ... Oceans of Opportunities.’”

Next year’s gathering, The IIA’s 74th International Conference, will take place July 5-8 at the Vancouver Convention Centre, located on the city’s downtown waterfront, amid spectacular mountain and ocean views.

Richard Chambers continues on as President and CEO.

Internal audit professionals from around the world attend The IIA’s annual conference, the profession’s premier educational and networking gathering. This year’s event in London attracted more than 2,300 practitioners from 133 countries.
