The firm, which is the largest full service law firm in Florida with over 400 attorneys and consultants intends to provide its Florida clients with expanded services in New York, to assist New York clients in both Florida and Latin America and to serve the New York market. The firm will develop its New York office with lawyers whose practices are consistent with the focus of the firm. These include the corporate, real estate, litigation and Latin American areas. The office will open with seven lawyers. Jason Pickholz will join the firm as Shareholder and will focus on securities and white collar litigation, and regulatory and compliance work, representing both domestic and foreign clients before enforcement bodies including the SEC, the NASD, and the NYSE. Prior to co-founding the Pickholz Law Firm, Jason was a litigator with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and with Morvillo, Abramowitz, Grand, Iason and Silberberg, P.C. He served as a law clerk to the Honorable Kevin Thomas Duffy, United States District Judge for the Southern District of New York.
