Blackline Systems Adds Marketing Director

Howard Goldstein
Director of Marketing
BlackLine Systems

BlackLine Systems has appointed Howard Goldstein as Director of Marketing.  Goldstein will head up new and expanded marketing initiatives for the company’s flagship automated account reconciliation and financial close software suite.

"We’ve worked hard over the last few years to deliver a superior software solution to help accounting and finance department staffs streamline their financial close process,” Therese Tucker, CEO, BlackLine, said.  “But, admittedly, our focus to date has been on development of the product and customer satisfaction.  We realized it was time to more actively market the software, so we’ve brought Howard on to spearhead that effort."

Goldstein comes to BlackLine with more than 20 years of experience in senior sales and marketing positions.  He also has served as chairman of several industry associations.  In his new role at BlackLine, among other activities, Goldstein will be responsible for advertising, public relations, web site content, working with trade associations, company involvement at trade shows and organizing educational webinars.

Goldstein’s appointment comes on the heels of the company’s announcement that it has established operations in Sydney, Australia to serve customers in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Goldstein also will serve as the liaison to initiate and coordinate marketing efforts overseas.

Founded in 2001, BlackLine Systems was the first to develop and offer a commercially available Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation solution.  An experienced provider of software to Fortune 1,000 companies, BlackLine provides quick-to-implement, scalable and easy-to-use applications that automate the entire financial close process to help improve financial controls for companies of all sizes.  BlackLine software applications complement and are an integral component of existing Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
