(NYSE:BE), one of the world?s largest business consulting and systems integration firms, hasannounced that Anita Tilley, a Managing Director and Global Sarbanes-Oxley Solution Lead with BearingPoint, will join leading executives for the panel, ?Sarbanes-Oxley: How U.S. Multinationals Are Coping,? during The 10th Annual Forbes CFO Forum at The Plaza Hotel today in New York City.

?The relationship between the board of directors and the CFO is evolving as a result of Sarbanes-Oxley as it enables CFOs to provide more relevant analysis,? said Tilley. ?This is where Sarbanes-Oxley is so instrumental. While offering insights on historical results, today?s CFOs offer a 360-degree view of timely reporting and analytics helping the company to move from historical data dumps to simple, insightful and forward-looking analysis. In addition, the tone at the top is evolving to balance the needs of key constituents including shareholders, employees, suppliers, and customers.?

Tilley also noted that while there may still be some fire drills on Sarbanes-Oxley compliance guidelines, a type of ?SOX transformation? is occurring in companies as efforts are re-directed toward Sarbanes-Oxley sustainability and to derive savings and value from the organization?s overall response to Sarbanes-Oxley.

Tilley and fellow panelists plan to discuss these and other SOX-related challenges related to U.S. multinationals that are able to work out the Sarbanes-Oxley issues at home, but may still find additional issues abroad. Several countries and the European Union are proposing additional financial regulations. With conflicting regulatory standards developing around the globe, U.S. multinationals will face new and additional barriers for international commerce. In addition to the panel, BearingPoint will co-present the BearingPoint | Forbes Compass Award for Strategic Direction today during the CFO Forum. This award recognizes innovative individuals who have demonstrated courageous leadership to chart a visionary course.
