Laurence Storch Joins Fulbright & Jaworski

Laurence Storch has joined Fulbright & Jaworski?s Washington, D.C. office. Mr. Storch, an SEC enforcement specialist has joined as Senior Counsel. He will focus on securities enforcement and other corporate matters.

Steven B. Pfeiffer, chair of Fulbright?s Executive Committee, credited Fulbright?s recent additions to a firm-wide strategy of broadening Fulbright?s core strengths: ?Larry Storch is highly respected lawyer who will contribute in important ways to our national regulatory and corporate practices. He has extensive SEC enforcement and government regulatory experience and will complement our existing team of partners with this experience in Washington, New York, Houston and Dallas.?

Mr. Storch has been involved extensively in representing entities and individuals in SEC investigations and enforcement actions. He recently completed an assignment as the Fund Administrator appointed by the SEC in Robertson Stephens. In addition, he served as a legal advisor to the State Department. He has been a member of the Army Science Board and of the Department of Defense Advisory Committee on Government Industry Relations. He also was formerly the Counsel to the Inspector General for U.S. Synthetic Fuels Corporation.

Joseph Small, partner-in-charge of the Washington, D.C. office, said, ?We are delighted to have Larry join our Washington office. He will add a wealth of additional experience to our already strong securities enforcement practice.?

Mr. Storch received his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1974 and his S.B. and S.M. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1971.

Deputy Chief of the Business and Securities Fraud Section of the U.S. Attorney?s Office for the Eastern District of New York, Michael Shelby ? the former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Texas, and Hal Degenhardt ? former District Administrator for the Fort Worth District Office of the SEC.
