ControlPath, a leading developer of automated compliance management solutions, announced today a new version of the ControlPath Compliance Suite, with a graphical process modeler and automatic configuration that can make deployment of the risk management software faster by as much as one third. By streamlining the installation process of the compliance automation software, ControlPath addressed one of the key technology issues for compliance managers ? the time to get compliance software up and running.

The new graphical process flow modeler in version 3.5 of the ControlPath Compliance Suite greatly simplifies the creation of the risk assessment activities, replacing dialog boxes and pull down menus with drag-and-drop, graphical elements. The new modeler reduces the process of creating complex compliance workflows from several days to a matter of a few hours.

In addition to the graphical enhancements, the new version further saves setup time by automatically evaluating the answers to the software?s built-in assessment questionnaires. Based on information about such things as hardware, server locations, offices, and other key factors, ControlPath auto-discovers and dynamically creates new business objects against which the software evaluates risk.

The ControlPath Compliance Suite 3.5, with its extensive security controls knowledgebase, coupled with robust workflow and enterprise risk reporting capabilities, enables an efficient compliance self-assessment and automated management of remediation actions and controls testing. With a library of more than 2,200 controls, ControlPath simplifies the creation of policies and the mapping of compliance regulations.

The new version of the software will be generally available November 20, 2006.

?Streamlined configuration, management, and maintenance of compliance management software is central to maximizing the ROI of automation tools, said Isabelle Thiesen, CISO of FirstAdvantage. ?These new enhancements make it easier for us to achieve, manage, and maintain regulatory compliance.?

In the ControlPath Compliance Progress Survey conducted in August, 2006, a full 96 percent of respondents said that cost of managing compliance ranged from ?somewhat challenging? to ?most challenging.?

?One of the biggest issues for organizations is how long it will take to deploy any compliance management solution,? said Richard Stiennon, Chief Research Analyst, IT-Harvest. ?Automated tools with a central console are essential components of an effective solution.?

In the new version, the ControlPath Compliance Suite also boasts enhanced reporting capabilities, and automatic assessment questionnaire creation via the new Program Management module. Version 3.5 also provides each user with a customized management dashboard, allowing them to easily focus on the charts, graphs, and compliance messages that apply to their individual workload.

?ControlPath continues to enhance our market-leading compliance automation capabilities,? stated Chris Poelma, CEO of ControlPath. ?In addition, this latest software release creates a simple yet powerful end-user interface, enabling users to more efficiently complete their compliance activities.?

ControlPath helps organizations transform their compliance programs across multiple regulations and standards through automation. The ControlPath Compliance Suite offers the most robust compliance workflow, most powerful organizational modeling capabilities and most comprehensive solution scope of any product in the market. Corporations in financial, manufacturing, retail and other industries rely on ControlPath to help develop more effective and less costly compliance programs and processes.
