SenSage Software Interoperates with JIEC Services to Meet Regulatory Compliance

SenSage, Inc., a leading provider of event data warehouse solutions and JIEC Co., Ltd, a Japanese systems integrator announced recently a strategic partnership to provide the Japanese market with log data collection, retention, and analysis for industry compliance regulations.

Event data records – also known as log data – are created whenever time-stamped transactions occur in the enterprise IT infrastructure. The retention of log data and the ability for corporations to quickly inspect these records have become vital to businesses, not only for meeting audit readiness and regulatory compliance, but also in detecting suspicious activity, insider threats and other security breaches.

In Japan, meeting the demand for internal controls –– including the introduction of the Japanese version of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (J-SOX Act) in April 2008 and the issue of information leaks and security –– has become an urgent priority.  In particular, the retention of logs required for audits have been attracting major public attention. In response to these issues, JIEC will provide the Log Shelter. The company will support the internal control needs of medium-sized businesses for log integration and management systems.

“The current push for organizations to tighten IT security and be audit-ready at all times is driving the need for log management to support mainstream compliance requirements.” said Jim Pflaging, president and CEO, SenSage.  "With our combined solution, we will empower our customers to quickly respond to threats and safe guard their private information."

The Log Shelter will come in a SaaS form and offer high-quality systems that combine SenSage event data management software, which feature the ability to compress log data at a high rate, and JIEC’s infrastructure technologies and system integration capabilities.  The services will be provided on the basis of a monthly meter-rate system.  This will enable user companies to realize swift log utilization while reducing initial investments.

SenSage software is well suited to meet customer demands in highly-regulated, transaction-intensive industries including energy, finance, healthcare, and government.

Service availability
JIEC will begin to provide the services to early adopters in January 2008.  The official release of the services is scheduled for April 2008.
