Guidance Software Inc. (NASDAQ: GUID), the World Leader in Digital Investigations(TM), announced recently that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has renewed its licenses for Guidance Software's EnCase Enterprise and EnCase Forensic solutions.
EnCase Forensic facilitates the search, identification, collection, preservation, analysis and reporting of digital evidence. EnCase Enterprise provides network-enabled search, identification, preservation, analysis and reporting of digital evidence on employee computers and file servers, primarily for internal investigations, such as fraud, HR matters and computer incident analysis. Both EnCase Forensic and EnCase Enterprise use the EnCase Evidence File format, which is the only digital evidence container that has withstood numerous challenges and been validated in courts worldwide.

"For more than a decade, Guidance Software has provided government agencies and corporations with digital investigative solutions that are proven, credible and defensible," said Victor Limongelli, President and CEO of Guidance Software. "We are extremely honored to have the SEC use EnCase Enterprise and EnCase Forensic solutions, given their role in maintaining fair, orderly and efficient markets and protecting investors against those who violate securities laws."

Guidance Software received the highest ranking (Top 5 Provider) in the eDiscovery Software Providers Category of Socha-Gelbmann's 2008 Electronic Discovery Survey. Earlier this year, Guidance Software also received the highest possible rating in Gartner's MarketScope for E-Discovery and Litigation Support Vendors, 2007. There are more than 28,000 licensed users of the EnCase technology worldwide, and thousands attend Guidance Software's renowned training programs annually. Validated by numerous courts, corporate legal departments, government agencies and law enforcement organizations worldwide, EnCase has been honored with industry awards and recognition from eWEEK, SC Magazine, Network Computing, and the Socha-Gelbmann survey.
