Symplified, a leader in Identity as a Service (IDaaS) for the hybrid cloud, has announced the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has awarded the company a patent for its unique approach to access management and policy enforcement for hybrid environments.

Symplified received Patent 8,418,238 for its proxy-based single sign-on (SSO) and identity and access management (IAM) solution. Unlike other solutions on the market, Symplified provides customers with both on-premises and cloud-based deployment options, along with granular visibility and control over user behavior within applications via its proxy-based approach and detailed auditing capabilities. 

Symplified’s hybrid architecture allows organizations to leverage the benefits of a cloud-delivered service while maintaining the important security properties provided by a dedicated environment.

Symplified’s solution can be deployed on a customer’s network or in the cloud, providing organizations with greater flexibility and control over how they bridge existing identity infrastructure, users and applications, both on-premises and in the cloud. This enables all identity information and credentials to stay within the customers’ control, which is often a requirement for compliance and risk management.
