nLayers, the leader in real-time discovery and resource optimization, has announced that Dan Schoenbaum has joined its Strategic Advisory Board. With more than 12 years of experience in business development, strategic alliances, product marketing, and product management in the enterprise software space, Schoenbaum?s expertise will play a key role in advising nLayers? executive team on emerging industry trends, extending the company?s strategic partnerships, and providing valuable insight into the real-world challenges of IT executives.

?With a track record that includes such well-respected companies like Compuware Corporation [NASDAQ: CPWR] and Mercury Interactive, Dan?s affiliation with our strategic advisory board represents a significant endorsement to our technology,? said Gili Raanan, nLayers CEO and founder. ?Dan?s talent, coupled with his wealth of experience and knowledge, will lend itself to driving strategic force in nLayers? business and help to take our product and company into the future.?

Schoenbaum currently serves as vice president of strategy for Compuware Corporation, a world leader in delivering software and services that enable businesses to manage their enterprises and maximize the value of their IT assets. At Compuware, Schoenbaum is responsible for the company?s go-to-market product strategies, as well as the growth of the company?s distributed computing business. Prior to joining Compuware, Schoenbaum held senior positions at SeeRun and Mercury Interactive.

?I have been following nLayers for sometime now, and feel that they successfully address a complex business problem faced by many CIO's,? said Schoenbaum. ?Given the large potential of real-time discovery and resource optimization, I believe that not only is nLayers poised for success, but holds the promise for dramatic improvement in their market by providing a ?real-world? solution to the challenges that face today?s CIO?s. I look forward to helping Gili and the nLayers team build on their success as the market continues to mature.?

nLayers? flagship product is nLayers InSight, an agentless appliance that automatically discovers and maps the relationships and dependencies between applications and infrastructure components to provide a ?living? model of the IT environment. Unlike the limited, ?snapshot? views offered by other discovery technologies, nLayers? time-based, three-dimensional model allows IT organizations to continuously track resource dependencies, demand, usage and service levels in real-time. For nLayers? customers, this model serves as the foundation for a wide range of critical IT initiatives, including change and configuration management, IT governance, capacity planning, business service management, and business continuity planning.

nLayers is a privately held, venture-funded startup headquartered in San Jose, California, and at www.nlayers.com.
